- Oversee payroll processing and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Reconcile point-of-sale transactions, merchant processor deposits, bank activity, fees, refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments.
- Monitor business expenses, vendor payments, reimbursements, and corporate card activity.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Investigate transaction discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams, vendors, banks, and merchant processors to resolve them.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, cash-flow reports, operating reports, and management summaries.
- Develop and maintain financial controls, accounting procedures, and approval processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and expense analysis.
- Support tax preparation, audits, insurance reporting, and other financial compliance requirements.
- Track financial performance and communicate meaningful trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
- Help improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency as the company grows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including responsibility for payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and standard accounting controls.
- Demonstrated experience reconciling high-volume point-of-sale and merchant processing transactions.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of discretion when handling payroll and other confidential financial information.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both leadership and operational teams.
- Ability to work on-site at Vibrant Health’s Tampa office.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional credential.
- Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant.
- Experience in a multi-location, healthcare, wellness, retail, or transaction-heavy organization.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms, point-of-sale systems, merchant processors, and expense-management software.
- Experience improving accounting workflows or implementing financial systems.
- Experience working with ODOO is a major plus!
What Success Looks Like
Within this role, success means that payroll is accurate and delivered on time, expenses are properly documented and controlled, merchant deposits reconcile cleanly to sales activity, financial reports are dependable, and leadership has a clear and timely understanding of the company’s financial position.
